Water slide decals are a process which allows the transfer of images to be fused permanently and irremovably into a glass piece.

We use only the finest glassware enamels to produce the bake on water slide decals used in the decoration of glassware pieces. An inaccurate firing temperature or process may produce undesirable images while decal fired to an adequate temperature is permanent.

GLASSWARE WATER SLIDE BAKE ON DECALS
We produce decals made with actual glassware enamels specifically formulated to decorate glassware pieces. This highly specialized process allows a logo or art to fuse permanently into various glassware creations.

TRANSFERRING THE DECAL
• Put the decal in a shallow dish / container with lukewarm water.
• Let it soak for 15 to 20 seconds or until the print with the cover coat attached begins to clearly detach itself from the backing paper.
• Slightly dampen the decal's receiving area on the surface of the glassware.
• Slowly slide the decal onto the glassware by placing a finger on the decal one one side and moving the paper out from under it while it is in approximate position on the glass.
• Move the decal around slightly to the exact desired location.

• IMPORTANT! WORK FROM THE CENTER OF THE DECAL OUT TO THE EDGES TO REMOVE WATER AND AIR TRAPPED BETWEEN THEM OR YOU MAY EXPERIENCE PINHOLES IN THE DECAL AFTER FIRING.

• Remove all water and air bubbles trapped between the decal and the object using a soft rubber squeegee or a damp sponge by rubbing from the decal's center towards the edges. This will push all water and bubbles out as you can see. Continue this action until decal is flat against the glass or pinholes in the ink colors may form when the piece is fired.
• Wipe the excess water off the object.
• Leave the decal dry on the glassware for 8 -12 hours before proceeding to the firing step.

STORING THE DECALS
Best to store them vertical In the box they come in. Keep them in a cool place if possible.

REPRODUCIBLE COLORS AVAILABLE
With the bake on water slide decal process, not all colors may be reproduced. For example, vibrant colors, may be difficult to realize. Please note also that the decal colors are noticeably different before and after their firing.

APPLYING DECALS TO GLASSWARE
Decal applied on clear or light color glass. When glassware to be decorated is dark in color, in order for colors or logos to show up against a dark background it is necessary to print a white ‘base layer’ under the art so as to make the art contrast. Therefore a base coat counts as a color in printing.

THE COVER COAT FOR TRANSFERRING THE DECAL TO OBJECT
Cover coat is a coat printed over the design that enables its transfer from the paper backing sheet smoothly onto the glass surface. The cover coat will disappear during the firing process and leaves no trace if the bake on water slide decal was fired under optimum conditions.

EXTREME CLOSE TOUCHING ARTWORK OF DIFFERENT COLORS MAY NOT REPRODUCE WELL - ITS BEST TO EITHER OVERLAP (TRAP) THE INKS OR KEEP THEM SEPARATE.
